HALLOWEEN IN OUR SCHOOL

Happy Halloween from students and teachers!!!!!!
Last week we celebrated Halloween, a tradition that originated from the ancient Celtic festival of Samhain. The children celebrated by dressing up in their scariest costumes- witches, ghosts and vampires!

During the previous days we learnt about how people celebrate Halloween in the USA. Our language assistant Heather showed us some pictures and some videos about it.

Our students and families carved scary pumpkins to decorate the school. They were amazing!

On October 31 our youngest students went to the library and there they listened to scary stories and danced with some Halloween songs. It was really fun!

SONG FOR HALLOWEEN: SKELETON SHAKE

LYRICS

Skeletons like to move
Rattling to the groove
Clicking every bone
While they laugh and moan

CHORUS:
So, shake, shake, shake, skeleton shake!
So, shake, shake, shake, skeleton shake!
So, shake, shake, shake, skeleton shake!
So, shake, shake, shake, skeleton shake!

Skeletons like to tap
Rattling while they snap
Twirling on their feet
Shaking with the beat

REPEAT CHORUS

Our new language assistant, Heather

This year we have a new language assistant. Her name is Heather and she is from the USA. During these first lessons we asked her questions to know more things about her. She prepared a presentation for us, showing us pictures of her family, her city, and her hobbies.

We also watched a video about Heather's hometown, Washington:

Finally, we finished the class with a dance. It was really fun:
